Jerusalem Marathon 2025

On Friday, April 4th, Jerusalem hosts a special event: the Jerusalem Marathon. It's a big race that brings people from all over the world, both regular runners and professionals. Since its first complete run in 2011, it has become a major yearly event.

What makes this marathon special? It takes place in Jerusalem, a city full of history, with amazing views. The spring weather is perfect for running. The runners get to enjoy a challenging course and see many of Jerusalem's famous places.

Races You Can Join:

  • Full Marathon (42.2 km): Starts at 7:00 am, near the Israel Museum.

  • Half Marathon (21.1 km): Starts at 6:45 am, near the Israel Museum.

  • 10 km Race: Starts at 9:30 am, near the Israel Museum.

  • 5 km Race: Starts at 7:30 am, near the Israel Museum.

  • Family Race (1.7 km): Starts at 11:00 am, at Sacher Park.

  • Community Race (800 m): Starts at 8:30 am, near the Israel Museum.

all races starting near the Israel museum are at the corner of Derech Ruppin and Eliezer Kaplan Street

Fun Things Happening During the Marathon:

  • Along the race routes, there will be small events, sports activities, and shows for everyone to enjoy. One spot will even let runners engrave their medals.

  • At Sacher Park, there will be a sports fair and festival. You can join stretching, aerobics, and Zumba classes with top fitness instructors. Plus, there will be drumming bands, street artists, and discounts on sports gear.
