Italy to lift travel warning for Israel

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar hosted in Jerusalem today the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Italy, Antonio Tajani.

This is the first high-level diplomatic visit to Israel since the beginning of the ceasefire and the outline for the release of the hostages.

During the morning, the two held an extended working meeting at the Foreign Ministry as well as a personal meeting.

This evening, the foreign ministers held a joint press conference and then an economic meeting with the participation of dozens of businessmen in order to promote economic and business relations between the countries.

During the visit, Tajani announced that Italy's national airline, ITA, will resume flights to Israel on February 1. In addition, Tajani announced in his meeting with the Foreign Minister that Italy will lift the travel warning from Israel next week.
