Israel Culinary Program

Day 1: Arrival & Jerusalem Introduction

  • Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport.

  • Transfer to your hotel in Jerusalem.


Day 2: Jerusalem's Markets & Culture

  • Morning: Explore the vibrant Machane Yehuda Market (open Sunday-Thursday 8:00-19:00, Friday 8:00-15:00, closed Saturdays). Sample olives, olive oil, goat cheese, hummus, and other delicacies.

  • Tip: Arrive after 9:30 AM for a more lively atmosphere when vendors are fully set up.


Day 3: Old City & Culinary Delights

  • Enter the Old City through the Zion Gate and explore the Jewish Quarter.

  • Visit the Western Wall (open daily 24/7), the holiest site for Judaism.

  • Walk the Via Dolorosa (Stations of the Cross) leading to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (generally open daily 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, timings may vary).

  • Continue to Ben Yehuda Street bustling shopping area with souvenir shops and trendy cafes.

  • Lunch - Savor Israeli cuisine at Eucalyptus Restaurant (check opening hours online).

  • Afternoon - Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from Mount of Olives.

  • Continue to the Judean Hills & Ellah Valley: Visit the picturesque Tzora Winery (check tasting hours online) known for its award-winning wines.


Day 4: Caesarea, Vineyards & Tiberias

  • Explore the ancient Roman port city of Caesarea, including the amphitheater and aqueduct (Caesarea National Park open daily 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).

  • Continue along the Mediterranean coast: Visit the Tishbi Winery for wine and brandy tasting with local cheese.


Day 5: Sea of Galilee & Golan Heights

  • Take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.

  • Continue to the Golan Heights Visit the unique Chateau Golan Winery

  • Lunch - Enjoy a delicious meal at the Marinado restaurant Located in Kibbutz Ein Gev.

  • Visit the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount.

  • Continue to Capernaum explore the ancient village house of Peter and see the synagogue where Jesus preached.


Day 6: Nazareth & Tel Aviv Bound

  • Visit the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth and explore the local market (Shuk).

  • Lunch Enjoy authentic Arabic cuisine with kebabs, local wine, knafe (sweet pastry), and coffee at Diana Restaurant.

  • Drive to Katzrin, a reconstructed biblical village showcasing ancient Israelite life


Day 7: Jaffa & Tel Aviv Delights

  • Explore the ancient city of Jaffa, including the historic port.

  • Continue to Tel Aviv walk through the city center, admiring the Bauhaus architecture (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

  • Have lunch at Dr. Shakshuka for a taste of North African Jewish cuisine.


Day 8: Farewell to Israel

  • Drive back to Ben Gurion International Airport and catch your departure flight home.
